Biomass Service Engineer - M4 Corridor / NORTHERN REGION
OVERVIEW
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a Biomass Engineer to provide specialist support to our customers as part of our site service division. The successful field based Biomass service Engineer will need to hold a full driving license.
As a Biomass Engineer you will have hands on responsibility to provide specialist on site knowledge to Service and repair Biomass Boilers, fuel feed systems and associated equipment, ensuring projects are delivered on time. This includes breakdown cover, scheduled servicing and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, fault finding and repair of Industrial, commercial & domestic biomass boilers
- Carry out service and maintenance works associated to commercial biomass boilers
- To understand, complete and submit all work related paperwork clearly and on time.
- Be able to overcome onsite issues by using your experience and knowledge.
- Continue to develop and maintain supporting documents to assist with the role
- Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- To demonstrate a positive attitude.
- To fully participate in regular training and development reviews with line management, tutors and HR representatives.
Required skills

Essential:
- Knowledge of Commercial/Industrial Biomass boilers
- Advantageous but not essential, experience with the Froling and ETA biomass boiler manufacturers
- Experience of Fault finding
- Combustion experience and knowledge
- Previous experience of installing, servicing OR commissioning large Biomass or machinery systems is advantageous
- Multi skilled engineer with recognised mechanical or electrical qualification
- Basic understanding of PLC control systems – updating software, adjustment of parameters using HMI/ controller
- An understanding of heating systems and associated pumps/ valves/ safety requirements
- Experience of biomass systems, different manufactures of biomass boilers and combustion controls is a distinct advantage
- Electrical fault finding to board / component level
- Mechanical fault finding and repair
- IT skills – Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
- Good customer skills and communication
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Self-motivatedilers

TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER /
We are currently seeking an office based TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER to join our service desk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all the incoming technical enquiries, supporting boiler owners, Myriad field service engineers and also the Myriad Project Team for new installations. The location for this post will the the head office in Leicestershire

Engineer Role Specification
Technical Capability & Breadth
As a Myriad Plantroom Service biomass engineer, you will be expected to service, commission, fault-find and train end users on predominantly commercial and industrial-sized systems up to 5MW in size.
Our ideal candidates will have good experience working with biomass boilers and of engineering within the renewables industry. Mechanical and Electrical engineering experience is required for this role. Knowledge of the Commercial Plumbing and Heating industry would offer a distinct advantage, but we provide regular product-specific training to our field-service team.

Biomass Field Service Engineer Duties
- Provision of proactive maintenance services for biomass and plant room equipment.
- Reactive call outs to time critical breakdowns, including out of hours Biomass, Mechanical and Electrical faults
- Commissioning & building of boilers as and when required
- Improvement suggestions on installed plant and submission of reports and data records
- Servicing of boilers and submission of reports and data records
- Work effectively alongside existing site and office based engineers
Biomass Field Service Engineer Person Requirements
- Proven track record in the biomass industry
- Comfortable working on commercial, industrial and agricultural heat and power systems
- Up to date training on one or more the equipment makes listed on our application page
- Excellent approach to customer service, including clear communication and proactive assistance
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Heating qualifications
- Electrical qualifications
- Optional Skills & Experience:
- Valid Hetas and / or gas engineer certificates
- Experience in gas and large-scale plumbing beneficial
- Experience with cogeneration and trigeneration systems beneficial
