Commercial Biomass - Healthcare Facility

Commercial Biomass - Healthcare Facility

Details

Myriad, contracted through Hilton Building Services Ltd, designed, installed and commissioned a 500kW Herz BioMatic for the new centre. With specifications for wood chip fuel, our Technical Design team detailed a sunken fuel store to accommodate tipped wood chip deliveries.

The base of the store contains a 6m diameter hinged arm agitator which moves wood chip onto the auger, conveying it to a climbing screw which transports the fuel into the Herz boiler in the adjacent plant room.

With the project being part of a new build site there was adequate opportunity to earmark a purpose built fuel store and plant room to sufficiently provide heat and hot water to the site.

The centre also has rain water harvesting, improving the site sustainability.
