All PV sites over 50kW need to submit a PDR to the local authority

Permitted Development Rights (PDR) are rules that allow certain types of development to progress without a full planning application.

Sites that wish to install solar PV over 50kW must apply to the local authority for approval. This is a tick box exercise unless the site is:

  • In a conservation area
  • Is a world heritage site
  • Is a listed building

It is reccommended that you apply to the local authority as early as possible as nothing should be fitted without this approval in place.

Myriad can prepare the PDR application and submit this to the local authority for you. Please contact us if you wish to discuss any aspect of this.
