Client Needs
The current electricity cost in the schools has increased hugely recently due to current economic situation and has become difficult to manage. The client needed a solution to reduce the electricity cost across their portfolio. The savings from electricity bill can be utilised elsewhere accross the sites.
The solution and its installation must not be disruptive to the day-to-day running of the schools so we had to work very closely with each of the schools staff.
Project Solution
The Solar PV system includes the following:
Roof mounting frames, for sloped and/or flat roofs, depending upon each site.
The operations were planned around a site set up and scaffolding over the weekend, deliveries on the following Monday, and site indusction and installation start on the Tuesday. Each week we worked on a different school so the planning behind the scenes was extremely important so the flow of work was not interrupted.
1084 PV Solar panels are installed over the 10 Schools accross the Midlands. The estimated Annual power generation over 10 schools is 414,630 Kw per year. This generation will reduce the carbon emissions by approx. 80,240 kg/yr.
