How Much Will A Commercial Biomass System Save?

These indicators will ensure your Biomass Boiler system provides a good financial return:

•  3 phase electricity supply to the building.
•  Current heating is provided by mains gas, LPG, heating oil, heat pumps or electricity. 
•  Existing fuel unit cost is greater than 7p/kWh

There are multiple design considerations when integrating a biomass boiler into a site, including:

Plant room - biomass boilers are considerably larger than fassil fuel equivalents  

Fuel storage - Biomass fuel is stored on site, in a room adjacnt to the boiler room. Store sizes start at around 4m x 4m (16m2 footprint) and can be as large as 15m x 10m (150m2 footprint) for industrial boilers.

Flue - this must terminate above the building roof level, and sometimes higher depending upon fuel type and boiler size
