Process Heat from Renewable Energy

Currently, process heat accounts for approximately 30% of all fuel use in the manufacturing sector and there is increasing pressure to use more carbon neutral process heat supplies. Biomass boilers are already in widespread use within industry to provide heat during the industrial process.

Biomass boilers are able to provide all types of process heating, whether it is low temp hot water (LTHW), medium temp hot water (MTHW) or steam. By replacing, or supplementing, your conventional fossil fuel heating process with a renewable process heating you can reduce your carbon emissions and also see huge fuel cost savings in the process.

Applications of Process Heat in the Industrial Sector

From solar, geothermal and biomass systems, there are several end-use applications for process heat within the industrial sector. So you can be assured that it will add value to your business on multiple fronts, such as:

 High temperature baking or cooking
 Pressurization
 Sterilization
 Bleaching during site works
 Industrial Distillation possible
 Drying or Kilning
 High Temperature Chemical Processes
 Agricultural space heating

PV systems for generating electricity

Industrial buildings are perfect for Solar PV as all industrial buildings have a roof and usually all or most of the electricity generated can be utilised on-site gives the maximum possible electricity cost savings.

For low-risk electricity generation, quick financial paybacks (typically 3 to 5yrs payback)  and very long product warranties, the ideal solution is solar PV (photovoltaic). Generating your own electricity is a fantastic way of lowering electricity bills, reducing your carbon footprint and also promoting a more positive message for the surrounding environment.

The PV panels are efficient enough to be able to produce almost 200W/m2, and unlike other on site generating plant there will be no space impact on the building itself.

Being able to introduce cost effective, environmentally friendly and sustainable heat and power solutions is at the forefront of what Myriad do.
