The Client & Requirements

The client required a solar PV system that would reduce electricity costs across the holiday park while supplying a meaningful proportion of on-site energy demand. A key objective was to minimise reliance on grid electricity, while supporting the site’s long-term sustainability strategy and carbon reduction goals.

In addition, the client was looking for a fully turnkey solution delivered by a trusted provider, capable of managing the entire process from design and approvals through to installation and commissioning. Minimising disruption and internal resource was a priority, so they required a reliable partner who could deliver the project with minimal hassle while ensuring long-term system performance and support.

Key Challenges

As the holiday park remained fully operational throughout the installation, with guests on-site, maintaining safety and minimising disruption were the primary considerations. Works had to be carefully planned and sequenced to avoid impacting the guest experience, particularly during peak periods.

Strict safety protocols were implemented, including the use of scaffold systems, clearly defined exclusion zones, and controlled access to work areas. Deliveries, lifting operations, and installation activities were coordinated to ensure minimal interference with day-to-day operations, while maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff at all times.
