The Client & Requirements An energy-intensive industrial facility in Central England required a high-capacity solar PV system designed specifically to offset extremely high on-site electricity demand. With two large industrial roofs, the priority was to maximise generation capability, while avoiding existing skylights as per client request. Myriad delivered a 424 kWp roof-mounted solar PV installation engineered to maximise available roof space, achieving exceptional payback time and significant carbon reductions.
Key Challenges The project was delivered within a live industrial environment with constant HGV movements across the site. This required careful planning of site logistics, controlled access for installation teams, and coordinated scheduling of materials and works. A phased approach ensured safe segregation between installation activities and operational areas, allowing the system to be installed with no disruption to core business operations. Existing roof skylights were required to remain unobstructed, which influenced the panel layout and required additional scaffold protection during installation to prevent damage.
