2.7MW Commercial Solar PV Installation in South of England

2.7MW Commercial Solar PV Installation in South of England

Commercial| PV| Service and maintenance

A large multi-building commercial estate in the South of England required a high-capacity, roof-mounted solar PV solution to significantly reduce grid electricity consumption across multiple facilities. Myriad designed and delivered a 2.7 MW commercial solar PV installation, engineered to operate across several buildings while accommodating structural, electrical, and operational constraints typical of large estates.

The project was delivered as a fully coordinated, multi-inverter system, providing long-term energy cost reduction and carbon savings at scale.

The Client & Requirements

The client required a high-capacity solar PV system that could be deployed across multiple buildings within a single commercial estate. A key objective was to maximise available roof space while delivering meaningful energy generation at megawatt scale.

The system needed to be designed and installed alongside the site’s new-build construction programme, ensuring full compliance with construction regulations and seamless integration with the developing electrical infrastructure. The client required a fully coordinated, turnkey solution capable of delivering at scale while aligning with programme timelines and regulatory requirements.

Key Challenges

The project was delivered in parallel with ongoing construction works, requiring close coordination with multiple contractors and strict adherence to site programme schedules.

Installation across multiple high-roof structures introduced additional complexity, requiring specialist access solutions, enhanced safety planning, and careful sequencing of works. Ensuring safe and efficient installation at height while maintaining progress across several buildings simultaneously was a key challenge throughout the project.
