191kW Solar PV Installation for a Manufacturing Facility

191kW Solar PV Installation for a Manufacturing Facility

PV| Industrial / Process / Manufacturing| Commercial| Service and maintenance

A high-energy-use joinery business in the South of England, required a roof-mounted solar PV system to reduce electricity expenditure and improve operational sustainability. With consistent daytime machinery loads, the site was well suited to on-site renewable generation.

Myriad designed and delivered a 191 kWp commercial solar PV installation, engineered to align generation with operational demand and deliver long-term cost stability.

The Client & Requirements

Following the successful installation of a biomass boiler system, the client looked to further optimise their energy infrastructure by exploring Myriad’s wider range of services. With high and consistent daytime electricity demand driven by manufacturing operations, the site was well suited to solar PV.

The client required a solution that would reduce grid electricity consumption, offset workshop and machinery loads, and deliver long-term operational savings. A key objective was to work with a trusted provider who understood the site’s energy profile and could deliver a system aligned to their existing operations and future sustainability goals.

Key Challenges

The project was delivered within a live manufacturing environment, requiring careful coordination to ensure installation works did not interfere with daily operations. Maintaining safe working conditions around active workshop areas and equipment was a key priority throughout.

Additional consideration was given to roof access, material handling, and sequencing of works to minimise disruption. All installation activities were planned to align with operational requirements, ensuring a smooth delivery with no impact on production.
