Myriad have recently completed a new installation on the roof of a manufacturing site. UK manufacturers often have huge electricity bills which means all, or nearly all the solar electricity generated will be used on site, which is the most cost effective way.
This site is in the Midlands and will use over 90% of all the power generated from the 100kW system. Due to the proximity of the site to a major railway line, we had to work closely with Network Rail to come up with a system design that kept scaffold and works a designated distance from the tracks. We continued to liaise with Network Rail on behalf of the client throughout the delivery of the project.

In recent years, there has been a significant rise in the use of solar photovoltaic (PV) technology in UK manufacturing. This has been driven by a growing awareness of the need to reduce carbon emissions and the rising costs of electricity. Solar PV systems offer a sustainable and cost-effective solution to these challenges, making them a popular choice for manufacturers across the country.
